Stef Paliaga

Driving Instructor

I have more than 30years experience in the motor vehicle industry and my knowledge of cars is extensive. I ride bikes on and off road and have a truck licence. So, my experience is vast from all perspectives. Driver training and passing on my knowledge of safe driving skills was an easy transition from past experiences.

My easy-going, quiet nature fits my career change and I haven’t looked back. The outcomes are positive, and it gives me a real buzz to see learners transitioning from nervous unskilled drivers into confident, competent drivers who pass their provisional driving test.

I love working with Murri’s on the Move – a different way of teaching with positive influences because they care about road safety! Oh and I can speak Italian too.

I first became a Driver Trainer back in 2012, coordinating a community run volunteer program supporting vulnerable youth in Caboolture and Deception Bay.
I enjoy meeting new people and helping them achieve their goals – to bear witness to learners achieving such an important milestone. Previous to becoming a Driver Trainer, I worked nearly 19 years in human services field.

I chose the MOTM team for their values of integrity, valuing indigenous people, genuinely care and mentoring of students.

Murri’s on the Move Driving School (MOTM) is the product of a successful pilot program to assist our First Nation youth to obtain a learner licence and progress on to driving lessons in a community car at a subsidised cost.

Due to the success, four dedicated community members signed up as Directors and registered the business as a not for profit entity in 2012. This would ensure the longevity and benefits continue.

The high demand for quality driving lessons has seen a steady growth in the business which now has six accredited driving instructors and four cars.

We have dual controlled vehicles and highly rated with Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
